Online Dictation

I have noticed recently many students are using Google Chrome.  I have not put it on the US image but may add it to the browser selection next year.  In the meantime, I decided to install Chrome on my desktop and see what all the buzz was about.  I am still getting accustomed to the simplicity of it, but I did find a great use for it with an Online Dictation website.  The site allows you to record with the microphone and then the information is transcribed into text for you. I already recommended this to a teacher who has been temporarily unable to type.  I think it is a handy tool for those times where you might not be in a position to type.
