AFP fix for Lion/Mountain Lion

When you cannot connect to the network from a Lion/Mountain Lion machine, encountering the error, "The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported..." , enter the following command (copy and paste) in the Terminal app:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array "Cleartxt Passwrd" "MS2.0" "DHCAST128"

The sudo command will require you to enter the password for your logged-in administrative account.  Nothing will be displayed as you enter the password.

This command supersedes all other previous "fixes".  There are four legacy authentication methods that were disabled in Lion.  The command removes "2-Way Randnum exchange" from the list, thus enabling it, and allowing Lion and newer machines to connect to our network.
